With a portfolio
of over 45 ad films and music videos like Chandini
Raatein and Beete Pal, Reema Sen is no
stranger in this field. She shot to fame in the south
with the blockbuster Telugu film Chitram, directed
by Teja.
Her second film, Minaale, in which she
starred opposite Madhavan, became a craze down south.
The film was a big hit and she established herself
as a glam doll who could also emote. She
also bagged the prestigious Filmfare award for her
performance in Minnale. Her roles in films
like Dhool, opposite Vikram, and the item
number in Jay Jay have also been appreciated.
Meanwhile, she busied herself in the Tollywood
arena, doing films like Manasante Nuvve with
Uday Kiran, the Telugu Hrithik Roshan, which also
turned out to be a super hit. Strangely, the Hindi
remakes of her South Indian films did not feature
Reema and were big flops.
Reema managed to bag the Hindi film Hum Ho
Gaye Aapke opposite Fardeen Khan and an 'Item
number' in Aan - Men At Work. But now her
dreams have come true with Priyadarshan’s Malamaal
Weekly turning out to be a super duper hit.
She has already done films in five languages and
her new films including News in Kannada opposite
Upendra and a Bengali film based on Sarat Chandra
Chatterjee's famous novel. Her Tamil film Chellamae
was a big hit and her forthcoming films are Vallavan
and Thimiru.
